Question- What part of the W-8BEN do I need to complete?

Question- If I'm not based in the US, will I need to pay US taxes when I get paid?

Answer: If audits are done onsite in the US, we would need to examine the situation further. If the audit is remote or done outside the US, there are no tax consequences.

Question- What part of the W-9 do I need to complete?

Answer: For specific instructions about completing your W-9, please review the instructions provided by the IRS below the signature line in the W-9 form.

Question- What should I put for my tax classification on the W-9 form?

Answer: We cannot instruct you on which tax classification to put on the W-9 form. Please refer to the specific instructions provided on page 3 of 6 of the W-9 form. If you need further assistance, please ask your Certified Personal Accountant (CPA) for guidance.

Question- Will I receive an FDAQRC email address?

Answer: We do not assign consultant email addresses. However, some clients, due to their internal systems, will ask us to assign a company email to a consultant.

FDAQRC assigns email addresses for project-based work. The addresses should not be used to communicate for any other work outside FDAQRC or other FDAQRC projects outside the one which the email address is assigned to.

Question- Can I encrypt only files relating to FDAQRC  and not the whole content of my computer?

Answer: All Computers must be encrypted as to protect our data as this is part of our business practices. Your computer will need to be encrypted and MS 10 does provide that as part of the features of the program.

Question: I don’t have Windows 10 – I have Windows X. Will that work?

Answer: Per our consultant handbook, you need to use the latest version of Microsoft Office (MS) systems. The systems should be encrypted with at least two-bit encryption to provide the best security for our clients. Consultants are required to provide current versions of the Microsoft (MS) Office operating systems.

Question- On my Personal Computer (PC) I've installed Windows 10 Home version, that has no encryption module on it. How do I proceed?

Answer: Windows 10 home does not include any encryption; therefore, consultants should consider installing a device encryption program. A link to encryption programs can be found here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-enable-device-encryption-windows-10-home
